I am Juan Trevisi, an essentialist painter from Buenos Aires, Argentina, trained by master artist Helena Distéfano. I was born on February 9, 1999. Painting found its way into my life when I was 19. At that time, I didn’t know what my future would hold, but it became a refuge for my emotions.

I think in colors first, then in images. Some I’ve never seen before, while others are recurring—they follow me in dreams, on the streets, in my thoughts, and in my memory. What appears in my paintings has already appeared in different times, different dimensions, and in unknown places.

Through my work, I channel people’s perspectives. We are lost in striking social imagery, which often hurts us. I invite you into my visual universe to see society without its masks, but also with its colorful disguises. What I paint is the essence of the soul.
